With a look back at heavy rivals in the UFC, Rafael dos Anjos explains why he is not interested in the BMF belt

Ultimate veteran, Rafael dos Anjos can boast of having faced great names in the organization's history. With a lightweight title (up to 70,3kg.) on his resume, the Brazilian, who has already faced names like Khabib Nurmagomedov, Kamaru Usman, Donald Cerrone, Anthony Pettis, Robbie Lawler, Leon edwards e Ben henderson, rules out a commitment for the 'BMF' belt, which defines the company's 'Most Thick'. In the Press Conference, the icon, which divides the octagon with Vincent Luque No. UFC Las Vegas 78, explained the reason.

“I don’t think I have the prerequisites for the dispute. I'm a former champion. I had the linear belt. Guys who fight for this belt have never been champions”, declared RDA.

This Saturday (12), Dos Anjos steps into the Octagon for his first engagement of the 2023 season. Vincent Luque, the veteran can return to the welterweight rankings (up to 77,1kg.), in case of a positive result.

Today, Rafael's opponent occupies 10th place in the group. If he wins, RDA will make a significant leap in the category and once again dream of competing for the title in the division.
