Back to the octagon this Saturday (12), Vincent Luque There's more to celebrate. After suffering a cerebral hemorrhage, as a result of the confrontation with Geoff Neal, in 2022, the Brazilian vented about the drama he experienced and celebrated his return to competitions after a year of inactivity. This weekend, the welterweight (up to 77,1 kg.) measures strength with Rafael dos Anjos.
“From the first day, right after the fight, I heard the news (about the hemorrhage). They (medical team) did all the tests and exams, and everything went well. My body was recovering. Afterwards, my manager, Ali Abdelaziz, was with me throughout the process, seeking the best information to make sure that I would be fully recovered”, said Luque, in conversation with the press at 'half day'.

“I would say I'm better than 100%. I feel like a better fighter than I was before. I’m blessed,” he signed off.
Brazilian highlight in the group led by Leon edwards, Luque has a decisive commitment on Saturday. Against Dos Anjos, the athlete tries to end a sequence of two defeats, in addition to stopping the rise of his compatriot, who, at 38 years old, is fighting his last race for the belt.
