Ross Pearson files appeal after controversial loss to Diego Sanchez

Quite unhappy with the official decision of the judges in his fight against Diego Sanchez At UFC Fight Night 42, Englishman Ross Pearson, defeated in a split decision, will appeal the result to the New Mexico Athletic Commission. Pearson's defeat to Sanchez was the co-main fight of the event, held last Saturday (07) in Albuquerque (USA).

The information, initially released by the English newspaper “The Telegraph”, was confirmed by the website “MMA Junkie” along with sources close to the British fighter. After three rounds, one of the judges gave Pearson the victory by 30-27 and the other two saw Sanchez as the winner of the fight, one by 30-27 and the other by 29-28.

At 29 years old, Ross Pearson has a record of 15 wins, seven losses and one fight without result. Before the setback in Albuquerque, the TUF 9 champion came from a I didn't answer against Melvin Guillard in October last year. Already Diego Sanchez, 32 years old, has a record of 25 wins and seven losses. With the doubted triumph, the winner of the original season of The Ultimate Fighter achieved its first victory since March last year.
