Chinzo Machida, older brother of the former UFC champion Lyoto Machida, returned to MMA and promises to make a splash among the featherweights. After being away from competition for three years, the Brazilian won in November 2013 and, this weekend, scored his second triumph in the series. Chinzo defeated Dmitry Gerasimov in the unanimous decision of the judges at RFA (Ressurection Fighting Alliance) 15, an event held in Culver City, California.

The duel started with Dmitry Gerasimov, but Chinzo tried to recover in the final moments with good kicks and even a flying knee. In the second round, the North American, not wanting to risk striking, took the fight to the ground and tried to finish the fight with a choke. But Machida defended well. In the next round, Dmitry tried to repeat the strategy from the previous round, but Chinzo didn't stay on the ground, he got back on his feet and managed to control his actions to win the judges' unanimous decision.

With the result, Chinzo Machida has a professional record of three wins and two defeats. The youngest brother, Lyoto Machida, has a wider cartel. He has 21 wins, four losses and is scheduled to challenge the champion Chris Weidman for the UFC middleweight belt on July 5th
