For the third time in his short career in the UFC, the Argentine Santiago Ponzinibbio he was forced to leave a fight due to an injury. After losing the TUF Brasil 2 final and leaving the UFC on FOX 11 card, Ponzinibbio will no longer face Ildemar Marajó at UFC 175, on July 5, in Las Vegas (USA).

The information, released on the “Combate” channel website, also states that the injury suffered by Santiago was to the athlete's meniscus and that, although it is not a very serious injury, it will force him to undergo surgery in the region. In the TUF Brasil 2 Final, the “good Argentine”, as he is known, had broken his arm and before UFC on FOX 11 he fractured two toes.

At 27, Santiago Ponzinibbio He has a record of 18 wins and two losses as a professional. Born in La Plata, but based in Santa Catarina, Santiago has only had one fight as an Ultimate athlete, in November last year. On that occasion, he ended up defeated by the American Ryan LaFlare, in a unanimous decision by the judges, in a fight held on the main card of UFC Goiânia.
