“I can say that I am here because of a loss. When I lost to Patrick Pitbull, if I hadn't lost that fight, I would still be stuck in my contract. I wouldn't have been able to test free agency, I wouldn't have been able to come right when Khabib was retiring. Right when I was going to enter, get the title shot and become who I am here (in the UFC). And it was literally, probably the best thing that happened in my entire career,” Chandler said during an episode of The Ultimate Fighter
