After achieving her fifth consecutive victory in the octagon by overcoming the Brazilian Amanda ribas by technical knockout in the co-main fight of UFC Jacksonville, last Saturday (24), Maycee barber guarantees that she is ready to avenge her last defeat, suffered precisely against the current flyweight champion (up to 56,7kg), Alexa grasso.
In a press conference held shortly after the event, Maycee barber expressed his desire to face Grasso regardless of the result of the Mexican's first title defense, which he faces Valentina Shevchenko, in rematch, in September.

“I've been saying it all along. Alexa (Grasso) whether she beats Valentina (Shevchenko) or not, I want that rematch. We will see. It would be ideal, but we'll see. I'm going to go back, talk to Hunter and Mick, with my team and find out the next step”, declared the American.
Maycee barber e Alexa grasso faced each other in UFC 258, in February 2021. On that occasion, the Mexican got the better of the judges' decision, starting a sequence of victories that would result, two years later, in her winning the flyweight belt in a submission over Valentina Shevchenko.
Although I am interested in the outcome of the rematch between Alexa grasso e Valentina Shevchenko, who will face each other on September 16th, Maycee barber he preferred not to take any risks regarding the winner of the duel.
“It can go either way. Alexa is an incredible fighter, Valentina was a dominant champion for so long for some reason. Honestly, it's difficult to make a prediction because anything can happen,” she concluded.
