Challenger for the 'BFM' belt, Dustin Poirier reveals which fighter he would like to have faced in the UFC

The 'Diamante' lamented Nate Diaz's departure from the organization and admitted that he would have liked to have shared the octagon with the 'bad boy'

One of the most successful and respected fighters in the history of Ultimate, the lightweight (up to 70,3kg) misses a specific name in his MMA record. In an interview with 'MMA Fighting', 'Diamante' lamented the departure of Nate diaz of Ultimate, wished him success in the course of his career, however, he emphasized that he would have liked to have shared the octagon with the 'bad boy'.

“I want everyone to get paid and be successful. Whether it's in this organization or another, I don't care, we're putting everything at risk. So I hope he (Nate diaz) got what he was looking for. I hope everything goes well and he gets paid. But yeah, of course, he always wanted to fight the guy. Never say never, but it feels like it’s gone,” Poirier said.

Second in the lightweight rankings, Dustin is on a good winning streak in his career with just one defeat in his five fights. In his next challenge, Poirier will face the also experienced Justin gaethje in a duel valid for the 'BMF' belt (more thick-skinned). The fight is scheduled for the UFC 291, which will be held on July 29th.
