Standout in the UFC lightweight division (up to 70,3kg) and a veteran of the organization, Dan Hooker joined Justin gaethje e Beneil Dariush to minimize the importance of the 'BMF' belt. In an interview with 'The All Star', the fighter questioned the existence of the symbolic title, which will be put at stake on July 29th. The athlete, however, made important considerations regarding the object.

"Justin gaethje against Dustin poirier It's a fun fight. The belt is interesting to carry around. However, do you get a percentage of the pay-per-view for playing it? If so, I'm interested. I would be immediately interested in fighting for him. It’s a silly title, but if there’s compensation on pay-per-view, you can wear any title around my waist,” Hooker said.

Interestingly, Gaethje, who is fighting for the vacant belt against Dustin, also minimized the importance of the object. The athlete, however, will have the opportunity to display the title he once held Jorge masvidal, recently retired from MMA.

No UFC 291, Justin and Poirier will climb into the octagon and compete in search of the belt. The meeting also marks the rematch between the athletes. In the first clash, in 2018, 'Diamante' came out on top, knocking out his opponent in the fourth round.
