Jon Jones will reach his seventh UFC belt defense as favorite against Glover Teixeira. This, however, does not bother the challenger, who stated that he already imagined that he would be the underdog in the dispute, the main attraction of UFC 172, this Saturday (26).
At 34 years old, Teixeira has not known defeat for 20 fights, his last setback being against Ed Herman, in 2005. However, the record is not enough to make the Brazilian the favorite for the fight against Jones, who has already became the most dominant UFC light heavyweight champion in history with six successful defenses.

The website “Betboo”, for example, pays just R$1,20 for every real bet in case the champion wins. In case of Teixeira's victory, the return is higher, with R$4,20 for the same amount bet.
In an interview with the North American website “MMA Junkie”, Glover showed calm when approaching the subject. “In no way would I be considered the betting favorite. In my head, and in the coaches' minds, I'm the favorite. But it doesn’t surprise me that I’m not the favorite in the eyes of the fans,” he stated.

Despite the long undefeated period, the Sobrália miner declared that he made sure he didn't become sloppy. “I would never give myself an A, as I always demand a lot from myself. All fights have their difficulties, so I always try to improve in everything. I may not be that young, but my experience ends up making up for it”, he analyzed.
