UFC Abu Dhabi: Minotauro and Roy Nelson make weight and confirm main fight

After busy weigh-ins at UFC 171 and UFC Natal, with athletes losing weight, the UFC Fight Night 39 athletes' passage through the scales, this Thursday (10) in Abu Dhabi (UAE), can be defined as peaceful. All fighters on the event card made weight and confirmed their duels. Among them the Brazilian Rodrigo Minotauro and the North American Roy Nelson, who are the main fight of the night.

This does not mean, however, that there were no unforeseen events before the weigh-in. The card ended up being reduced from nine to eight fights due to the cut of the fight between Andrew Craig and Chris Camozzi. The fight was canceled due to Craig being ill and unable to participate in the fight night's schedule of events.

The big star of the card, Minotauro weighed 107,9 kg, more than 12 kg less than the heavyweight category limit. Your opponent Roy Nelson, known by the nickname “chubby”, weighed 115,8 kg. The other Brazilians on the card also passed the scales without any problems: the bantamweight Rani Yaya reached 61,4 kg and the average weight Thales leites weighed 83,9 kg.
