Despite being temporarily away from fighting, Georges St Pierre continue with your busy life. The former UFC welterweight champion announced that he tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee and will therefore need to undergo surgery in the coming days.

The Canadian, who continues to train martial arts despite his temporary departure from the UFC, announced what happened on his social networks. “I have just received confirmation that I tore the anterior cruciate ligament in my left knee during training this week. I will have surgery in a few days and physiotherapy will begin shortly after,” the Canadian wrote on Facebook. “We all go through challenges in our lives and I know there is only one way to face it: with pain, hard work and without taking shortcuts. Soon, I will be 100%,” he continued.
