Poirier 'ignores' Volkanovski and accepts Makhachev's call to fight for the lightweight belt

Target of elite desire in light weights (up to 70,3kg.), Islam makhachev used social media to ask fans about his next opponent for the UFC belt. The Russian, who received the reply from Alexander Volkanovsky, received a positive response from another important name in the division.

Second place in the lightweight rankings (up to 70,3kg.), Dustin poirier responded to Makhachev's call through his official Twitter account and made himself available to face his rival in his next appearance in the Ultimate Octagon.

Poirier is coming off a submission victory over Michael chandler No. UFC 281, event held on November 12th. He, however, had to deal with a personal drama and treated a bacterial infection in his foot.
