Israel Adesanya uses bizarre movie reference to confirm fight against Alex Poatan at UFC 287

Nigerian uses 'Saw' and says rivalry against Brazilian is not over yet; they have a rematch on April 8th

After being announced in a rematch for the middleweight title (up to 83,9kg), Israel adesanya spoke for the first time about a new meeting against Alex Poatán No. UFC 287. In your 'Twitter' official, the Nigerian used a reference from the horror film 'Saw', with a view to heating up the rivalry with the Brazilian. The duel between the athletes is scheduled to take place on April 8, at an undefined location.

“In this game, we didn’t score points. We got them right,” Adesanya wrote, as well as using the hashtags 'Press to continue' and 'here we go again'.

Undefeated at middleweight (up to 83,9kg.) since his debut in mixed martial arts, Israel was dethroned for the first time against Alex, in November 2022, by UFC 281. On that occasion, the two rivals met for the third time, the first in MMA.

The result, however, was not good for Adesanya. The Nigerian had the advantage in the confrontation, but ended up being surprised in the fifth round, in one of the biggest comebacks in the history of Ultimate.
