Former UFC fighter Raulian Paiva is arrested on charges of domestic violence

The world of martial arts continues to be in the news on police pages around the planet. Last Monday (23), the former UFC fighter Raulian paiva was arrested in Amapá, accused of domestic violence against his wife, Vanilza. The Tupiniquim athlete was granted bail of R$2 and will respond to the case in freedom. The information was released by the website 'Globo Esporte Amapá'.

According to the website, Vanilza Santos, 27, accused Raulian of having committed physical and verbal attacks against her. The case took place in the municipality of Santana, state of Amapá. In the same publication, the bantamweight (up to 61,2kg) said that everything was just a 'heated discussion' and that both had already reached an understanding. On his 'social networks', the Brazilian denied all the accusations made.

At 27 years old, Raulian was released from the UFC at the end of 2022 after suffering two consecutive defeats, to Sean O'Malley and Sergey Morozov. Hired via 'Contender Series', the Amapá native played seven times in the largest MMA organization in the world and achieved three triumphs and four setbacks. Professional since 2013, the bantamweight has a career record of 21 positive results and five negative results.
