Rival in historic fight, Forrest Griffin breaks silence and talks about Stephan Bonnar's death

Bonnar's tormentor in the historic finale of the first season of 'The Ultimate Fighter', Griffin spoke out about his friend's tragic death

Between the various tributes directed to Stephan Bonnar on social media after the tragic news of the death of the North American fighter, last Saturday (24), many fans highlighted the silence of their biggest rival in the sport and great friend Forrest griffin, which lasted until last Wednesday (28).

Through his official “Twitter” profile, Griffin shared a publication remembering the historic fight against Stephan bonnar in the final of the first season of “The Ultimate Fighter” and reinforced the friendship built between the two since then.

“Stephan was many things. He was always the most interesting person in the room, he had the biggest heart, and most importantly, he was my friend. I always loved that people were excited when they found out we were actually friends. I will miss you forever brother,” Griffin wrote.

Stephan bonnar e Forrest griffin starred one of the most exciting and important fights in UFC history in 2005, ending with a flourish the first season of “The Ultimate Fighter”, a reality show created as a “last move” by the organization to rekindle the public’s interest in MMA. Won by Griffin, the fight entered the Ultimate Hall of Fame in 2013.
