UFC narrator, Jon Anik, seems not to be happy with the judges' latest decisions in the organization's fights. In addition to him, a large part of the MMA community seems to share the same disappointment. In response to a poll made by a fan on 'Twitter' (see below), with a question about who would be the 'worst professional' in the area, Anik said that he will have conversations to reduce the damage that would have been caused in 2022.

“I’m not sure the state of MMA judging has ever been worse, frankly. I'm looking forward to going back to Vegas next year to have some conversations”, said the narrator on his official account on 'Twitter'.

Amid the debate, one of the users who followed Jon Anik's response suggested that he can't do anything and that when his boss at Ultimate, Dana White, doesn't recognize that there is a mistake, nothing can be done to improve the situation .

“Anik, you are not doing anything, with all due respect. When your boss doesn’t see a problem, that becomes the problem”, commented the follower.

The narrator promptly responded and claimed he was being insulted. Irritated, he also stated that, even though he is unable to change, he can be heard.

“Respectfully, that is a vicious insult. I have spent dozens of hours talking to commissioners, judges, referees and scoring experts over the last two years. I didn’t say that I will change things 100%, but I can be heard”, concluded Jon Anik.

Controversial decisions

In recent events, the judges' decisions have given something to talk about. Experts and mere spectators questioned results such as the fight between Paddy Pimblett e Jared gordon. At the time, most of it marked victory for the North American, but it was the Englishman who left with his arms raised.

Another case that also had repercussions happened in Sean O'Malley e Petr yan, as the Russian managed to be more effective in the number of strikes and have control on the ground, but saw his opponent triumph in the judges' unanimous decision.
