Considered the greatest fighter in the history of jiu-jitsu, Bia Mesquista gave another example of her skills last Thursday night (15). The Brazilian submitted the former UFC bantamweight champion (up to 61,2kg) Miesha Tate in the third edition of UFC Fight Pass Invitational, evento de luta agarrada realizado no UFC Apex, em Las Vegas, nos Estados Unidos.

Bia Mesquita won the victory over Miesha Tate with a finish in the overtime round. The Brazilian managed to lock in an armbar and force the former UFC champion to do all three taps. The result earned Bia a prize of US$25 (approximately R$132).

With an incredible 24 black belt titles, ten of which are world titles, Beatriz Mesquita is considered by many to be the greatest female name in the history of the gentle art. At 31 years old, the fighter, who already trains Muay Thai and wrestling, intends to transition to MMA soon.

Derrotada por Bia Mesquita no UFC Fight Pass Invitational 3, Miesha Tate is going through a bad time in Ultimate. The former bantamweight champion returned from a hiatus of almost five years without fighting with a victory over Marion Reneau in July last year, but after that suffered two consecutive defeats to Ketlen Scallop e Lauren Murphy, the last one in July this year.
