This Tuesday (28), UFC president, Dana White, released a video that shows behind the scenes of UFC 168, an event held in December 2013. The occasion was marked by the shocking fracture of Anderson Silva, who broke his leg after having a shot saved by his opponent, Chris Weidman.

The images show the events from the preparation of the fighters before the fight. While putting the bandages on his hands, Anderson received a visit from Roy Jones Jr, world champion whom he has been challenging to a boxing match. The conversation between them is friendly, with exchanges of pleasantries and Jones' desire for Anderson to have a good fight.

The moment of fracture is shown from a point of view very close to the octagon. The scenes involving the Brazilian patient show the tension of the event, with Anderson, screaming in pain, begging, in English, for the doctors to help him.

Finally, Weidman's trainer, Ray Longo, explained the technique that resulted in the Brazilian's fracture. “When the knee is bent, you can hit it with a baseball bat and it won’t hurt,” he noted.
