Hector Lombard believes Jake Shields won't cause him any problems at UFC 171

Hector Lombard does not expect to go through major problems in his next fight, when he will face Jake Shields at UFC 171, in Dallas, in the US state of Texas.

Even if your opponent comes packed with four unbeaten fights, including a triumph over Demian Maia, Lombard predicts that he will win the fight by knockout, without any major difficulties. That's what the Cuban said in an interview with the North American website MMA Junkie.

“As long as I fight healthy and manage to reach the correct weight, I don't see it causing me any problems. I see myself knocking out Jake Shields, to be honest”, said the fighter, who, however, showed respect for Shields’ past.

“I don't care what people say. He is a very difficult fighter to face. He doesn't seem dangerous, but if you look at his record and his fights, he always shows people to be wrong. Having said that, I still believe that I will knock him out. I will surpass everyone, and Jake Shields is next”, concluded Lombard, who has 33 wins and four losses in MMA, being 2-2 in the UFC.

UFC 171, which will take place on March 15th, will make history in the welterweight category. In the main fight, John hendricks face Robbie Lawler to define who will be the new weight champion.
