Jon Jones hasn't stepped into the Octagon since February 2020, but, it seems, the fighter's return is close. Bones, who is a former light heavyweight champion (up to 93 kg), announced that he will debut in the heavyweight category (up to 120,3 kg) at the UFC 282, in December, the last pay-per-view of 2022.

Jones used his Twitter account to respond to a fan and reveal that he is preparing to face Stipe Miocic, former category champion, on December 10th. In the publication, Jon hinted that Miocic is still in an impasse with the UFC to sign the contract to secure the fight.
“I'm getting ready to fight Stipe (Miocic) on December 10th, in Las Vegas. I'm not sure what's going on between Stipe and the UFC, but I'm ready to compete! I will control what I can and stay in shape,” he wrote. Jon Jones on twitter.
Like Jones, Miocic comes from a long period away. The former heavyweight champion last fought in UFC 260, in March 2021, when he lost his reign to Francis Ngannou.

Brazilian in title fight in UFC 282 main fight
If the fight between Jon Jones e Stipe Miocic is confirmed, the clash should be the second most important fight in the UFC 282, scheduled to take place on December 10th, at the T-Mobile Arena, in Las Vegas (USA).
