The long-awaited debut of Jon Jones in heavyweight (up to 120,2kg.) of Ultimate could be made official soon. According to reporter Ariel Helwani, from 'MMA fighting', the organization is negotiating a confrontation between the MMA legend and Stipe Miocic protocols for UFC 282. The show takes place on December 10th.
According to the reporter, the company intends to cast the athletes as protagonists of the show. So far, the event has a rematch between Glover Teixeira e Jiri Prochazka for the light heavyweight title (up to 93kg.) as a big attraction.

Considered by many to be the best MMA fighter of all time, Jones hasn't stepped into the Octagon for almost three years. In his last commitment, the North American surpassed Dominick reyes and defended the throne of the under-93kg division. Months later, 'Bones' gave up the title and started dedicating himself to moving to the heavyweight division.
Record holder in belt defenses in the up to 120,2kg category, the former champion Stipe Miocic is also looking to return to the sport after more than a year of inactivity. His last challenge came in March 2021, when he ended up dethroned by Francis Ngannou after suffering a hard knockout.
If they can get Jones x Miocic done, that'll be the UFC 282 main. If not, the main will be Prochazka x Teixeira 2.
And if they can't get Jones x Miocic done for 12/10, they'll set their sights on doing Ngannou x Jones in March, if Ngannou re-signs. Developing.
