Weidman justifies celebration in victory: 'I didn't know Anderson had broken his leg'

“I knew he was hurt, but I had no idea he had a broken leg right after the fight. I was thrilled for the victory, but I didn't know he had broken his leg. If I had known, I wouldn’t have celebrated like I did,” said Weidman at a press conference after UFC 168.

After the North American's dominance in the first round, the Brazilian came back better for the second half, but ended up getting injured and being forced to undergo surgery to repair the fracture in his leg. According to the UFC's official doctor, Dr. Steve Sanders, Spider's recovery time is three to six months.
