The main fight of UFC 279, this Saturday's event (10), presents the duel between the great welterweight sensation (up to 77kg) Khamzat Shimaev and the popular veteran Nate diaz, who is having the last fight of his contract with Ultimate. While bookmakers point to broad favoritism for the Swedish naturalized Chechen, there are those who think differently. Among them, the middleweight champion (up to 83,9kg) Israel adesanya.

A declared fan of the “Diaz brothers”, Adesanya used his official YouTube channel to give his thoughts on this Saturday's event. Despite believing in Diaz's victory, the middleweight champion believes that the UFC was unfair to the American for “throwing him to the wolves” in the last fight of his contract.

“I feel like they weren’t fair to Nate diaz trying to give it as food for this new sensation that is destroying everyone. It's difficult to beat Nate by interruption, but if anyone can do it, maybe it's this guy (Chimaev)”, analyzed Adesanya.

Despite understanding Chimaev's favoritism, Adesanya said he believed in a victory by knockout or submission. Nate diaz against the Chechen in the last rounds.
