Welterweight Ben Askren, former Bellator champion, has agreed to transfer to the Evolve MMA team, located in Singapore, where he will carry out most of his training.

The fighter is currently without an organization to compete in, as he gave up the Bellator belt and, it seems, his negotiations with the UFC have not progressed. This change increases rumors that Askren's destination would be the Asian One FC event, where two of the champions are Evolve MMA athletes – Bibiano Fernandes, from the bantamweight division, and Shinya Aoki, from the lightweight division. The welterweight belt, in Askren's category, is vacant.
