Back injury takes Minotouro out of fight against Gustafsson in 2014

the return of Rogério Minotouro to the octagon is postponed again. Franchise president Dana White announced, last Saturday (26), the Brazilian as the Swede's opponent Alexander Gustafson in the main fight of the organization's return to London, in March 2014. But a back injury took the Brazilian out of action. The news was revealed by the North American website 'MMA Fighting' and confirmed by the president of the franchise afterwards.

For the second time in a row, a back problem takes Minotouro out of action. He was scheduled to face his compatriot Mauricio Shogun, in June, at UFC 161, but was sidelined from the show due to injury. With the new problem, Rogério should only return to the octagon in May 2014.

At 37 years old and with an MMA record of 21 wins and five losses, Rogério Minotouro hasn't fought since February, when he crashed Rashad evans in the unanimous decision of the judges at UFC 156.
