I don't want to fight with guys who are just starting out, I'm already past that stage. I want to face Nate (Diaz), who I want to slap, and Jorge masvidal, who messed with my wife, sent a helping hand, so there are some things that we have to get right, and for that I had to get into the rankings, and I always said: 'I'm going to get into the rankings, wait for me and I'll get there', and I’m going to get there now, it’s not possible that I won’t get to that ranking… Then I’ll see what I have to do to get in”, said Michel.

Since his last defeat, in February 2020, Michel has consecutively beaten Zelim Imadaev, Khaos Williams, Niko Price, André Fialho e Santiago Ponzinibbio. The Brazilian athlete has a record of 28 triumphs and 11 setbacks in professional MMA.
