At 40, Holly holm still has big plans within Ultimate. Star of UFC Las Vegas 55, which takes place this Saturday (21), the veteran is looking for a triumph against Ketlen Scallop to get closer to his dream of a new bantamweight belt fight (up to 61,2kg.). Former division champion, the fighter believes she can still take the throne of the group led by Julianna Pena.

“I want to win, regardless of anything. I hate losing, period. It doesn't matter what's at stake. If I'm training, I want to win the rounds I play. (…) I want to get into the octagon and win on Saturday”, said Holm, in an interview with ‘MMA Junkie’.
Bantamweight champion between 2015 and 2016, Holly has a clear objective for the confrontation against Ketlen Scallop. The American sees the fight as an opportunity to get closer to her third title fight in the category.
“If you don't win the next challenge, your next options won't be as desirable, and they will be limited. You take a step back. (…) I need a positive result so I can move forward. I want to get to the belt”, he concluded.
This weekend, Holly returns to the Octagon after more than a year of inactivity. In recent months, the former champion has been dealing with injuries, which made it difficult for her to attend more frequently.
Today, Holm occupies second place in the bantamweight rankings. The North American has won two consecutive victories.
