If UFC international relations director Marshall Zelasnick said that Glover Teixeira would be the next challenger for the light heavyweight belt, the matter does not seem to be that clear for organization president Dana White. In an interview open to fans, and broadcast via the internet on the North American channel “FOX Sports”, the director suggested that, if they win their next fights, Jon Jones e Daniel Cormier can face each other.

“Yes, probably,” White responded when asked about a hypothetical showdown between the current light heavyweight champion and the former Strikeforce champion if they both win their next duels. The president, however, did not reveal whether the fight would be held under other circumstances. Cormier has always fought as a heavyweight, but recently stated that he would move down to the 93-pound division.
