Simply incredible. In the fight that marked his return to strawweight (up to 52,1kg) in Ultimate, Jessica Andrade, Bate-Estaca' put on a real show at UFC Las Vegas 52, held this Saturday (23). Opponent of the promising Amanda lemos, the former champion neutralized her opponent's aggression and finished in an exceptional way, with a hand triangle, from a standing position, in the first round. It was the first time in the history of the organization that someone won in this way.

With the result, Bate-Estaca once again won the division after a period of testing in the flyweight division (up to 56,7kg), where it competed for the title and was surpassed by Valentina Shevchenko. Jéssica's last performance in the category had taken place in July 2020, when she was surpassed by Rose namajunas, in a great battle.
Brazilian promise in the under-52,1kg category, Lemos was unable to repeat his good performances and had a sequence of five positive results interrupted. The athlete must now lose 10th position to the Paraná native, who returns to the top 15 in the category.
In an interview still in the octagon, Bate-Estaca made a special request. The fighter asked for a trilogy against the current champion of the group, Rose namajunas. The dispute between the athletes is tied, with a triumph for each side.
The fight
The confrontation began with Lemos taking the initiative with a jab, which stopped in the former champion's guard. Amanda asserted her advantage in size and launched long-range attacks. The duel remained tense, with the athletes waiting for the best moment to attack. Near the middle of the stage, Amanda connected with a cross, followed by a low kick, shaking the Paraná native. With just over two minutes left until the end of the stage, Bate-Estaca tried to connect a hand triangle, standing, while Lemos tried to protect himself. Jéssica continued to press and suffocated her opponent. After resisting for a moment, Amanda gave up.
