In an interview with the North American website “TSN”, the Brazilian stated that he will take a maximum of three weeks off before returning to training for his next fight and reaffirmed his objective of becoming welterweight champion in the future.

“I'm going to take two or three weeks off, at most, before I start training again. To be honest, I really want a big fight. Losing this fight was taking two steps back, even as it was. People are giving a lot of credit, morale is high, but I want a title fight and I ended up going a little behind. I need a few more fights”, analyzed Durinho.

The three potential opponents mentioned by Gilbert Durinho are Jorge masvidal and brothers Nick and Nate diaz. The Brazilian believes that, after last Saturday's performance (9), he has put himself in a position to ask for another big fight.

"The name of Nate diaz It's always on my mind. Nate or Nick, these are fights I've always wanted to do. But let's see, I think maybe Masvidal and then I would face challengers again. I think I deserved a big fight. I had the opportunity to face Khamzat and we fought a war. I think the way the fight went, it gives me the opportunity to ask for a great fight”, he concluded.
