After 'war' with Chimaev, Durinho calls for 'big fight' and names three possible opponents

Less than a week after emerging defeated, but with high morale, from a three-round “war” against Khamzat Shimaev, UFC 273, Gilbert Durinho is already planning his next steps in Ultimate. After challenge your last tormentor to a five-round rematch, the Brazilian welterweight (up to 77 kg) mentioned three other potential opponents he would like to face in the Octagon.

In an interview with the North American website “TSN”, the Brazilian stated that he will take a maximum of three weeks off before returning to training for his next fight and reaffirmed his objective of becoming welterweight champion in the future.

“I'm going to take two or three weeks off, at most, before I start training again. To be honest, I really want a big fight. Losing this fight was taking two steps back, even as it was. People are giving a lot of credit, morale is high, but I want a title fight and I ended up going a little behind. I need a few more fights”, analyzed Durinho.

The three potential opponents mentioned by Gilbert Durinho are Jorge masvidal and brothers Nick and Nate diaz. The Brazilian believes that, after last Saturday's performance (9), he has put himself in a position to ask for another big fight.
