Jedrzejczyk has a record of 16 triumphs and four setbacks as a mixed martial arts professional. The Pole was strawweight champion (up to 52,1 kg) from March 2015 to November 2017, with five successful title defenses. She, however, has not acted since March 2020, precisely against Weili.

Champion of the strawweight division between 2019 and 2020, Zhang was defeated by Rose namajunas in his last two fights. Before the two setbacks for the champion, Weilli's last defeat was in November 2013, in her first fight in professional MMA. The Chinese has a record consisting of 21 positive results and three negative results.

The two fighters even fought one of the best fights in the organization's history. In a real five-round battle, the Chinese came out victorious in the judges' split decision, while the Polish woman dealt with a large swelling on her head. Now, they face each other in a rematch with an eye on a new chance for the strawweight belt (up to 51,2kg).
