Jorge masvidal was arrested last Wednesday night (23), in Miami, in the United States. The UFC welterweight (up to 77 kg) was arrested less than 48 hours after attacking fellow UFC athlete Colby Covington in a restaurant in the city, last Monday (21). The information was initially released by the “WPLG Local 10 News” channel.

According to online records, Jorge masvidal was arrested on charges of aggravated assault resulting in great bodily harm and criminal mischief. The athlete was taken to the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center with bail set at US$15 (approximately R$72).
If found guilty, Masvidal could potentially face up to 15 years in prison and/or a fine of US$10 (approximately R$48) for the second-degree crime of assault with possible additional penalties for the criminal mischief charge.

Once best friends and training partners, Jorge masvidal e Colby covington have become great enemies and rivals in recent years. The two faced each other in the octagon earlier this month, in the main fight of the UFC 272, with a dominant victory for Covington in a warm fight.
