According to the Irish newspaper, McGregor was detained in his car, a Bentley Continental GT – estimated to be worth US$187 (about R$905), after driving at high speed in the area. If he is sentenced, he could end up facing a fine, as well as six months in prison. After being stopped by police, the fighter was charged and released on bail, with his vehicle later returned to him.
This is not the first time that McGregor has been arrested for dangerous driving. In 2018, the Irishman lost his driver's license after driving more than 154km/h, in a 100km/h zone. To be released, Conor had to pay a fine worth approximately US$440 (around R$1.936, at current prices) for speeding.
Former Ultimate champion, the 'Notório' is preparing for his return to the organization after a serious injury suffered in the clash against Dustin poirier, which took place in July 2021. He even revealed that he wants to return to fight for the welterweight belt (up to 77kg.) in his comeback fight.
