UFC president, Dana White, confirmed last night that Thiago “Pitbull” Alves will be the next challenger for the Ultimate welterweight title, with this, the Brazilian will face the winner of the duel between Georges St Pierre e B.J. Penn, which takes place at UFC 94, January 31st.
“He’s next in line. If St. Pierre hits B.J. Penn, then Thiago faces GSP. If BJ wins, then he faces him. Afterwards, he would have to defend his belt for a while before I would let him move up (in weight) to face Anderson (Silva)”, said Dana White.
