Erick should face tough South Korean DH Kim in Brazil in October

The welterweight's next commitment Erick silva in the UFC could be again in Brazil. The athlete from Espírito Santo is negotiating with the organization to face South Korean Dong Hyun Kim.

The fighter posted the information initially released on the Combate channel website on his Instagram profile. In the caption of the photo, Erick commented: “#vamoqvamo Will it work?” Last week, the welterweight had already confirmed contact from his agent about being available to fight in October, but there was still no clue about his opponent.

If the information is confirmed, Erick will make his third consecutive fight in Brazil for the UFC, the fifth in six fights for the organization. After beating Charlie Brenneman in the United States, the man from Espírito Santo was surpassed by Jon Fitch, at UFC Rio 3, and found his way back to victory in Fortaleza, on the TUF Brasil 2 Finale card, when he beat Jason High by submission.

The Korean will return to the American continent after two fights in Asia. In November he won Paulo thiago at the UFC's debut in China. In March, Kim defeated Siyar Bahadurzada in Japan. The last time he fought in the West, the South Korean suffered a bruised ribs and was quickly knocked out by Demian Maia, at UFC 148, in July 2012.

PUBLICITY:

Despite the fighter's post, the UFC organization has not yet officially announced any event in Brazil in October. Rio de Janeiro hosts an edition of the show in August, Belo Horizonte in September and, according to rumors that have not yet been confirmed, Goiânia could host an edition in November.
