The time away from the octagon and the controversies and confusion outside it have generated a lot of criticism regarding the fighter. In this weekend, Jon Jones used social media to respond to some of them. According to the former champion, the priorities of his “haters” are in the wrong direction.

“If you're still talking about what happened in Las Vegas but you live at your mommy's house, your priorities are in the wrong place, my friend. You're focusing on another man's messes, while I'm here focusing on staying way ahead of you," Jones said.

Jones' outburst generated many reactions on social media, most of them negative. In one of them, a follower claimed that his mother lives with him, and received a response from the former champion.

“I actually have a lot of respect for situations like this. If my mother were still alive, I would definitely allow her to live with me. I'm talking about some losers. Very rarely do happy or successful people take time out of their day to attack others on the internet,” Jones wrote.
