As he had done at the press conference that followed UFC no Combate 2, on May 18, the president of Ultimate once again defended Vitor belfort in the Testosterone Replacement Treatment (TRT) controversy this weekend. Despite maintaining his position against treatment, the manager supported the Brazilian athlete.

“I think Vitor is being unfairly attacked in this TRT story. You know how I feel about TRT, but he (Belfort) did everything the right way and has been within the limits he should”, said the president, in an interview in Winnipeg (Canada).

Another subject discussed by White was Belfort's sequence of performances on Brazilian soil – three times in his last four fights. Regarding this, the leader was succinct and ruled out any controversy. “He (Vitor) will end up fighting in the United States. He is fighting in Brazil because he is doing very well in Brazil. There is no conspiracy,” he snapped.

Vitor belfort, who is in second place in the Ultimate middleweight rankings, has a record of 23 wins and ten losses. In his last appearance in the Octagon, the 36-year-old Rio native won Luke Rockhold, former champion of the extinct Strikeforce, in UFC no Combate 2.
