With athletes' growing dissatisfaction with the salaries paid by the UFC, Dana White came to the defense of his organization. The agent stated that the full amount that athletes receive is not disclosed and accused his employees of asking for a 'confidentiality agreement' so as not to reveal how much they actually receive from the company. The statement was made after the 'Contender Series' last Tuesday (5).
“Most of these guys want what's called a LOA ('letter of agreement'), where you can't see how much they get. Most fighters want a LOA. They don't want people to know how much they earn and you can imagine why. People start coming out of nowhere looking for money when they think you have it,” said the boss.
The salaries paid by Ultimate have been the target of constant criticism in recent months. Names like Jon Jones, Francis Ngannou, Jake Paul, Jorge masvidal e até Chris Cyborg have already spoken out against the scholarships that the UFC offers its athletes.
