First Brazilian woman to compete for a UFC belt, the 'Pitbull' believes it was important for the development of women's MMA in the country.

“I'm very happy because I know I contributed a little to this. When I started training and fighting MMA, there weren't any women in the UFC yet and, even so, it was crazy because I kept training and saying 'I'm going to get there', even though there weren't any women. I am part of the first generation of women in the UFC and in my fight against Ronda there was growth in Brazil in a way that even I could not imagine. All the girls who hadn't even heard of MMA, already knew what MMA was, they looked for martial arts academies to train, compete or find out more about it, because there was news on top of news about this fight”, said Bethe.
