Prosecutor Wallid Ismail recently inaugurated a strict policy against bad examples of professionalism at weigh-ins. Jungle Fight. Ismail defined fines and suspensions for athletes who fail to make weight or are late for official weigh-ins. This Friday, another fighter was affected.

At the official weigh-in for the Jungle Fight 53, welterweight Otavio Javali was not able to reach the limit for his category, which is 77,1 kilos. He could even receive a punishment in his bag and fight normally this Saturday if it weren't for one “detail”: Javali failed in his mission to make weight by an incredible five kilos.

“He faltered badly. He came to tell me that he could take 20% of his scholarship. He left the card right away,” Wallid said on Twitter. “You have to have respect. Discipline is fundamental for a fighter”, added the manager.

Wallid immediately announced Ederson Moreira as a substitute for Boar in the fight against Warlley alves.
