Fifth place in the flyweight rankings (up to 56,7kg.) of Ultimate, Cynthia calvillo is excited about its possibilities in front of Jessica Stacker No. UFC 266 this Saturday (25). In an interview at 'media day', the North American hopes that a positive result against the Brazilian could put her on the radar for a title fight soon.

“She is very dangerous and has many highlights of knockouts and other things. She is a former champion who has fought in three different weight classes. An incredible fighter. Not only is she a former champion, but she is still ranked #1 in the division. So obviously (a win) would prove that I'm a contender for the title,” said Calvillo.

Despite being in the UFC since January 2017, Cynthia never actually had a chance as a challenger for the organization's belt. She even comes from a defeat against Katlyn chookagian and, even so, he tried to challenge Bate-Estaca to a fight. Now, the American dismisses 'respect' for the former champion and says that she likes big challenges in the octagon.

“I like fighting the toughest fighters in the world. I called Jessica (Bate-Estaca) Andrade for this reason. I lost my last fight, had shoulder surgery and still challenged her. It's just what I do. I love difficult fights”, added the athlete.

Professional since 2016, Cynthia calvillo enters the octagon with a record of nine wins, two losses and one draw. In her career, she has already beaten names like Joanne calderwood, Poliana Botelho e Jessica Eye.
