With spectacular kick, Vitor Belfort knocks out Luke Rockhold at UFC Combate 2

Amazing! This is the best definition for the knockout applied by Vitor belfort em Luke Rockhold at UFC Combate 2, an event held this Saturday (18), in Jaraguá do Sul, Santa Catarina. The Brazilian took no notice of the last Strikeforce champion and with a plastic round kick he took the North American to the ground. The result marked Belfort's fourth consecutive middleweight triumph and put him close to a title shot.

The fight

The fight between Belfort and Rockhold began studied. The North American tried to score and get out of range, while the Brazilian threw fewer blows, but always with more force.

One minute into the duel, Vitor already showed that he was willing to end the fight. He landed a good combination of punches and made his rival move backwards. But the end of the dispute would come in spectacular fashion. With a round kick, which hit Rockhold's chin, Belfort took his rival to the ground. Without wasting time, he connected two more punches on the ground and knocked out his opponent.

Alligator erases Camozzi

Ronaldo Jacare debuted with the right foot in the Octagon. With the right to show, the Brazilian put in a fair kata-gatame and obliterated Chris Camozzi in the first round of the fight.

The fight started out balanced in terms of striking, with Camozzi trying to keep the fight at long range. But as soon as he had the opportunity Jacaré shortened it and took the dispute to the ground. From then on, he showed why he was world jiu-jitsu champion. Soon he advanced to half guard and went for the submission. Jacaré took the kata-gatame and as the North American didn't hit it he ended up going out and the Brazilian was declared the winner.

When asked about the fight between Belfort and Rockhold and who he would like to face in his next fight, Jacaré was direct: “The winner”, said the black belt.

Sapo and Rafael win

In the first fight on the main card, Rafael Sapo won the 100% Brazilian duel against João Zeferino. In a balanced fight, Sapo managed to come from a disadvantage in the first round to prevail in the following rounds and leave the Octagon with a unanimous decision victory from the judges. Already Rafael dos Anjos had great difficulty getting through Evan dunham. After 15 minutes of a very competitive fight, the Brazilian also won the fight by the judges' decision.
