Dana White shows enthusiasm after confirmation of UFC 268 main card

With two title fights (welterweight and strawweight) and an important clash in the lightweight division, the president did not hide his excitement for the event

After the officialization of the main card of the UFC 268, UFC president Dana White did not hide his excitement about the fights. The 'big boss' praised the main fights of the show and cited the importance of taking big fights to Madison Square Garden, in New York (USA). The statement was made in an interview after UFC Vegas 35 last Saturday (28).

“The main event was one of the biggest fights in recent years, the co-main event was one of the most shocking and I think everyone wants to see it again. Then you go to the other fights on the card…each duel there could be the main event of an event. So it’s a bad card”, added the agent.

The president also emphasized the importance of the venue that will host the event, Madison Square Garden in New York (USA)

“Every Saturday, I try to put on the best fights I can, but when you go to a place like Madison Square Garden, and it's our first time in a few years, you want to deliver something banging,” concluded Dana.

Scheduled for November 6th, the UFC 268 will be headlined by the long-awaited rematch between Kamaru Usman e Colby covington, valid for the middleweight belt (up to 77,1kg). After knocking out Weilli Zhang in April, Rose namajunas will face off again against the Chinese for the strawweight title (up to 52,2kg). In an explosive duel between two top-5 fighters in the lightweight division, Justin gaethje e Michael chandler will also face each other at Madison Square Garden.
