Roy Nelson reveals his desire to face Minotauro: 'I've been trying this fight for two more years'

'Gordinho' says he's looking for big fights and wants to face Minota since he lost to Cigano in 2010

Roy Nelson He is experiencing a great moment in his UFC career. The 'gordinho', who comes from three consecutive knockout victories, is already aiming for a big fight against a Brazilian heavyweight. The North American revealed that he has been looking for a duel against Rodrigo Minotauro.

“I think that in our sport there are few guys who fight against everyone, and I am one of them. I've been trying to get a fight against the Minotaur since I fought Junior Gypsy. That was another two years ago. I love big fights. That's why I think a fight against Minotauro would be great”, said Nelson, in an interview with the North American website Bloody Elbow.

How Minotauro is scheduled to face the Brazilian Fabricio Werdum at TUF Brasil 2 Finale, on June 8th, Nelson may have to have another fight before the desired duel. Rumors coming from the United States place Roy in a fight against Daniel Cormier.

"About the Daniel Cormier, I think the reason Mike, my manager, said something about Daniel is because he should get an immediate title shot at 93kg. If he really wants to drop in weight, there’s no point fighting him, unless we’re fighting for a title shot at light heavyweight,” added Nelson.
