In an interview with the website 'MMA Junkie', the UFC legend commented on the actor's 'negative reputation' in relation to stunt doubles. In films related to martial arts and actions with physical fights, Seagal would have injured some of his co-workers on purpose and, therefore, Couture indicated that the fact would be one of the 'attractions' in which he is interested in a fight against the actor.

“Everyone knows about the rumors regarding stunt doubles getting hurt in scenes with him. It happens sometimes, but it's not routine. It seems that he puts excessive force in these situations where someone can be hurt, just to appear superior and prove that he is true. I started out as a stuntman, and of all the stuntmen, I would say (Steven) Seagal would be the guy,” Couture said.

Randy was part of a generation of 'thick men' in mixed martial arts. During his almost 15-year career, the fighter faced big names, such as: Vitor belfort, Lyoto Machida, Tito Ortiz, Brock Lesnar, Rodrigo Minotauro and Chuck Liddell, who is considered by many to be his biggest opponent in the sport. In his MMA career, Couture had 30 professional fights, with 19 wins and 11 losses.
