The feud between Rafael dos Anjos e Conor McGregor really rekindled and gained a new chapter after the UFC 264. The two fighters 'stranged' each other at the weigh-in for the Irishman's fight against Dustin poirier and, later, the Brazilian published on his social networks about the 'Notório' injury, implying that the outcome happened due to the fighter's actions in his career.

In an interview with the North American website 'MMA Junkie', Dos Anjos explained about the controversy and highlighted that he did not celebrate McGregor's injury. He even wished the Irishman a speedy recovery.
“I don’t believe in karma. I don't want anything bad for him, I wish him a speedy recovery, but I had to do this. People are still making fun of my injury. That's what's bothering me a lot, because people make fun of someone's injury. I didn't make fun of McGregor's injury. It's a combat sport. We donate not only in the fight, but in training too. I broke my foot. I was in a cast for six weeks and this guy made fun of me. Now he’s getting a taste of his own medicine,” said Rafael.
Despite the tragic outcome, Dos Anjos reveals that he was not impressed with what he saw from McGregor before his injury. The Brazilian stated that, if he faced him, it would be even worse.
“It would be much worse. I think my ground game is much more powerful than Poirier's. It would be very different. Conor, he looked so sloppy, he looked really small. I saw him on the day of the weigh-in and we had a little argument and he looked very small, like a little boy. I would crush that guy”, concluded the fighter.
The Brazilian was even scheduled as a 'reserve' for the clash between Poirier and McGregor in the UFC 264. Dos Anjos made the weight cut waiting for an opportunity, which didn't happen. Former lightweight leader, the Tupiniquim athlete has a record of 30 wins and 13 losses in his career.
