With the right to controversy, the Brazilian Gabriel Napao left the octagon of the TUF 17 Finale, an event that takes place, this Saturday (13), in Las Vegas, with defeat. The heavyweight, who was the country's only representative at the event, faced Travis Browne and started the contest well.
In his first movements, the North American tried a high kick, but Napão ducked and took down his rival. However, Browne managed to get up and the Brazilian pinned his rival against the bars.
Napão tried to take him down in front of Travis until the controversy of the night came. The North American threw several elbows at the Brazilian's head as he grabbed his leg to try to take him down. However, at least three blows hit Gabriel in the back of the head, and he fell knocked out.
Although blows to the back of the head were illegal, referee Chris Tognoni did not notice the fact and declared Travis Browne the winner of the dispute.
With the result, Browne recorded his 14th victory in MMA, while Napão suffered his seventh defeat in his career.
