Diego Ferreira, 12th in the lightweight rankings, is looking to find his way back to victory. After an impressive run of six wins against the likes of Anthony Pettis, Rustam Khabilov and Mairbek Taisumov, the Brazilian ended up losing two consecutive fights in 2021, against Beneil Dariush and most recently Gregor Gillespie. At 36 years old, the Amazon native has a record of 17 wins and four losses.
To win again, Diego will have to overcome Grant dawson, which in turn aims for a place in the category ranking. Since debuting in the UFC in March 2019, Dawson has beaten all of his opponents, five in total. The North American's last victory came against Brazilian Leonardo Santos, in March this year, with an impressive knockout in the last second of the fight. In his career, the athlete has a record of 17 wins and just one loss.
Diego Ferreira is the third Brazilian confirmed on the October 02nd card. In the main fight, Thiago Marreta face your compatriot Johnny Walker. The event also features Bethe Correia, who says goodbye to the octagon facing Karol Rosa.
