Bellator confirms Fedor Emelianenko's return for October

The heavyweight will return to the Bellator cage after almost two years of inactivity at an event based in Moscow, the capital of Russia

After almost two years without fighting, the heavyweight returns to action on October 23rd, at the VTB Arena, in Moscow, capital of Russia. It will be the organization's first event hosted in the country. Fedor's opponent has not yet been decided.

The announcement was officially made by Bellator president, Scott Coker, during a press conference held this Friday afternoon (25). The press conference was attended by Fedor Emelianenko.

It will be the sixth fight of Fedor Emelianenko by Bellator. The Russian legend has three wins in the organization, the most recent being against Quinton.”Rampage” Jackson, by knockout, in December 2019. The Russian’s last defeat came in his penultimate fight, against Ryan bader, in the final of the organization's heavyweight tournament, in January 2019.

Bellator has not yet announced who Fedor's opponent will be in the fight on October 23, but the Russian stated during the press conference that several names have been offered to him and that he will discuss with the organization before making a decision. No other fights have been confirmed on the event card.
